Metropolitan Museum of Art Renaissance Event for High School Students

Students are invited to attend a free event on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.  The jewels, elaborate headdresses and suits of armor from the Renaissance will be on display. Register today.  Simply present your valid New York City high school ID card at the Audio Guide desk in the Great Hall to receive a free Audio Guide. The Audio Guide provides interpretive audio programming about the Museum’s exhibitions and permanent collection.

Are you studying the Renaissance in school? This teen class will bring it all alive for you! Come feast your eyes on the jewels, brocades, elaborate headdresses, and suits of armor that enrich the exquisite paintings in the special exhibition The Renaissance Portrait from Donatello to Bellini. Talk about identity and dress, and sketch your own fashions of the times. Enrollment for the class is limited.
