Women and Work, a free job training program for women, covers everything from computer training to communication and interpersonal skills to dressing for success. The free full-time 15-week program meets Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Classes begin on Feb. 7.
You will need:
- A high school diploma or GED
- A working knowledge of the English language
- To be legally able to work in the United States
Full-time day program training includes:
- Computer training: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook; Internet and email
- Mathematical skills
- Literacy skills: verbal, reading and writing
- English as a second language (ESL)
- Life-management skills
- Interviewing skills, cover letters and resume writing
- Dressing for success
Women and Work also provides on-site counseling and needs assessment and health and wellness training.
