Roll out to the Egg Rolls and Egg Creams Festival in the Lower East Side! Sponsored by the Museum at Eldridge Street, this fest celebrates the collaboration of the Jewish and Chinese communities of the neighborhood. Their seemingly different cultures are surprisingly similar with their focus on keeping ancient customs relevant while adopting new customs as well! Check out klezmer music and Chinese acrobatic dancing, and snag yourself a lesson language in either Mandarin or Yiddish (or both!). Be sure to sample the ever-present kosher egg creams and traditional egg rolls. For all ages!
