Volunteer at Kids Food Festival!

Both culinary and non-culinary volunteers are needed for this weekend event focusing on educating families about making balanced food choices through fun and flavorful activities. Culinary opportunities involve working beside celebrity chefs and other ICE alumni, prep work, assisting chefs during cooking demonstrations, assisting children during hands-on cooking classes, and more. Non-culinary opportunities include receiving and organizing pantry items and kitchen tools, coordinating attendees, escorting VIPs and chefs to demonstrations and ticket handling. The festival is located at CitiPond at Byrant Park, and volunteers are needed Friday, January 20 (4-8 pm), Saturday, January 21 (8 am-7 pm) and Sunday, January 22 (8 am-7 pm). Shifts are flexible, so it is not necessary that you volunteer the entire time. Culinary volunteers should wear chef's coat, appropriate shoes and tie their hair back. Non-culinary volunteers should wear sensible shoes for safety. If interested, please email volunteer@kidsfoodfestival.com with your name, email, phone and desired day/shift. For more information, check out the website www.kidsfoodfestival.com.
