Celebrity Cookies

What distinguishes the bake sale to be held on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Amagansett Square in Amagansett, N.Y., to benefit Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, is the donation of cookiesfrom more than a dozen Manhattan chefs. Karen DeMasco of Locanda Verde, Deborah Racicot of Red Rooster, Angela Pinkerton of Eleven Madison Park and Rachel Binder of Maialino are among them. Sales help pediatric cancer research. The charity also sells cookies online, 10 varieties at $30 a dozen: cookiesforkidscancer.org.
Tongue Chiller
Some 30 kinds of ice cream can be tasted on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bell House, 149 Seventh Street (Third Avenue), Gowanus, Brooklyn. Those attending must be at least 21 years old. Tickets are $15 from thebellhouseny.com; at the door, they can be purchased only with cash.
Uncorking Opinions
Instead of the typical lecture, the format at some of the classes at Laura Maniec’s Corkbuzz Wine Studio, 13 East 13th Street, is a round table, to encourage discussion of a particular category of wine. On July 11, the wines to be examined will be from the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. Wines from the adjacent Côte de Beaune will be the topic on July 25. Each class, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., costs $60: (646) 873-6071, corkbuzz.com.
